Anaesthesiology

   core competencies prescribed i for MBBS Program

The Department, a branch of medicine, specialized in minimizing pain & maintains patient health during and post surgical procedure is backbone of hospital. It provides services round the clock for all routine and emergency surgery being performed in the operation theatre, casualty and intensive care unit. The hospital has 12 operation theatres, fully equipped with the latest Anesthesia stations, airway gadgets, fiber optic laryngoscopes, crico-thyrotomy and percutaneous tracheostomy set, bedside multipara monitors, ventilators, operative microscope, C-arm, and other accessories.

The department also over sees the CSSD and 10-bedded Intensive care unit. The service of department includes pre-anesthetic clinic for day care surgery, emergency services to trauma patients in casualty, and life support services to ICU patients. The department is imparting teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate student besides conducting regular CPR and CPCR short courses to medical students, nursing students, police and para-medical staff of hospital.
