Key Indicator 3.2- Innovation Ecosystem (10)

3.2.1.The Institution has created an ecosystem for innovations including Incubation Centre and other initiatives for creation and transfer of knowledge

  •  Skill laboratory
  •  Skill lab of A.C.P.M. Medical College, has got all basic infrastructure and Mankins for training the students. It includes : BLS Manikins, ACLS Manikins with AED and feedback device, PALS Manikins, IV Hands, Iv arm, SC, IM, Intradermal injection manikins, Central Venous access manikins, laryngeal anatomical module, basic nursing procedure manikins, Ryle’s tube insertion, male female bladder catheterization, colostomy care, intramuscular injection manikin, intraosseous injection, delivery modules, suturing pads and modules, mouth care, nursing care manikins.
  • Skills and simulation lab is fully functional and conducting regular training for interns, UG and PG students of A.C.P.M. Medical College. All interns on day one of internship undergo training at skill lab for Basic life support and basic procedures. Similarly final year UG students undergo similar training at the entry of final year. Interns in the batch of 15 are regularly trained in skill lab in BLS, ACLS and basic surgical procedures.
  • Skills and simulation lab is used by all collages of A.C.P.M. Medical College for training purpose. Skills and Simulation lab has been part of multiple Workshops, CME?s and Conferences.
  •  Teleconferencing programme with Children Hospital Michigan for discussing cases and exchanging appropriate management techniques. ·
  • Availability of services of College Guidance Counsellor, Paediatric Neurologist and Speech Therapist. · Availability of services such as CT Guided Biopsy, CT Angiographies, Endovenous Laser Therapy for Varicose Veins and Cancer Patients Radiofrequency Ablation, Cardiac CT · Diabetes patient registry, diabetes clinic: Patient Education programmes using Audio-Visual media in OPD and demonstration of foot care, Insulin Pens for diabetes patients. · Objective structured oral examination in Medicine department formative assessment For UG. · One minute Preceptor, mini-clinical evaluation exercise in Medicine department PG teaching programmes.
  • Conducted Orientation program about curriculum and patient care practices for newly admitted post graduate students.
  • Conducted hands on workshop for post graduate residents on basic aseptic OT practices, Basic suturing skills, Basic knot tying, advanced suturing techniques of bowel anastomosis.
  • Operative techniques- Innovative pterygium surgeries like no suture no glue technique, Wet lab skill transfer surgical training for PG student teaching learning. Digital Question banks for UG and PG.
  •  To prepare students for NEET Community Medicine Department conduct MCQ test at the end of each lecture with Google Form.

In the recent years, A.C.P.M. Medical College,Dhuliahas organized and conducted a number of seminars and workshops in the area of Research methodology and Good Clinical practices. Starting from the academic year 2015-16, wherein the A.C.P.M. Medical College began with2 such Research methodology workshop which was followed by Urology – PCNL Simulation workshops and Breast Feeding Week Seminar. Thereafter, Anorectal Surgery - CME and Breast Diseases- CME in 2016-17, RNTCP-TB Sensitization work shop and seminars in 2017-18 and Herniaz Unlimited workshop and Infective Osteoarticular disorders & Radio Pathological co relation seminars in 2018-19.Awareness of corona seminars in 2019-20 have been conducted.

With a vision of benefitting the society on a whole; especially the poor and the underprivileged, A.C.P.M. Medical College,Dhule has been actively involved in taking various initiatives complimenting the concerns of the society. 3.4.4.Institutional social responsibility activitiesinthe neighbourhood community in terms of education, environmental issues like SwachhBharath, health and hygiene awareness, delivery of free/ subsidized health care and socio economic development issues carried out by the students and staff, including the amount of expenditure incurred during the last five years

The Mission statement of the A.C.P.M. Medical College, Dhule states that the A.C.P.M. Medical College will maintain the strengths of its traditional outreach programs and respond to the changing needs of the society. The A.C.P.M. Medical College works at grass root level of society in the health care sector. The complete health care is being provided to rural population by organizing free medical & dental health camps. The patients who require critical care are being brought to hospital and treatment is undertaken at very minimal cost.

The A.C.P.M. Medical Collegeis continuously working very holistically to seek new and innovative ways to reach out to the people. To realize this mission the university and the constituent faculties organizes several programs for the benefit of all the stakeholders.

The major initiatives include:

  • Establishment of 550 bedded A.C.P.M.  Hospital at Dhule thereby providing access to primary & tertiary health care services.
  • Adoption of Primary Health Centers at GarhiHarsaruVillage.
  • SGT Urban Health center caters to the healthcare needs of the Gurugram city population
  • Establishment of medicinal plants garden, conduct of medicinal plants exhibition and encouraging farmers for cultivation of medicinal plants.
  • Medical Relief Camps organized wherever disaster management needs arise. Conduct of HIV awareness camps and Health hazards associated with non-communicable disease including cancer and pulmonary disorders through camps and exhibitions.
  • Subsidized and free healthcare facility at A.C.P.M.Hospital, Chandu, Budhera Adopting Budhera Village to provide sustainable rural health and develop as a Model Health Village.
  • The institution organizes several programs for the benefit of all the stakeholders. They include workshops /training/awareness program/field camps, extension lectures, adoption of villages, exhibitions, endowment lectures, and health education programs.
  • A.C.P.M. medical center and community pharmacy are available for the benefit of staff, students, and public.

Organizing such events raises awareness amongst the students on issues that are relevant to their conscience about the environment in which they live and their acceptance, participation and tolerance towards the same. Some of the events include observing Environment Day, AIDS Awareness, World Yoga Day, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaaninitiatives and Blood Donation Camp.

University takes community level initiative for promoting Government Schemes as BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO especially in the rural villages.

  • Several Camps have been organized at adopted villages where activities like, free health checkup, satellite camps, socioeconomic programs, various awareness programs, outreach program are done on regular basis.
