                      Governance of College and its Hospital

  • The College governance primarily emphasizes on participatory, and decentralizing its function and consider recommendations of its statutory committees e.g. local managing committee, college council, curriculum committee, College IQAC cell, Academic cell for postgraduate program, Board of Research Studies, Ethics Committee, Anti-ragging Committee, Student Council, SC/ST Committee, Internal Complaint Committee, Grievance Redressal Committee, Disciplinary Committee etc. Each Committed has defined mandate of responsibilities, power to resolve the related issue unanimously and seek approval of competent authorities.
  • Chairman of the trust has all executive powers for granting approval of policies formulated from time to time with regard to administrative, academic, financial and patient care.
  • Dean is chief executive person, next in order of hierarchy of the organogram, primarily responsible for formulation and implementation of strategic plans, developed in consultation with college development committee and all stakeholders.
  • Medical superintendent is responsible for execution of policy decisions, approved by the college council primarily related to compassionate and safe health care service to the community.
  • The internal as well external members as stakeholders of each committee participate actively and contribute in development of quality assurance initiatives /reforms in governance policy of the college.
  • Broadly, planning, implementation and assessment of academic curriculum is mandated with academic boards constituted for each phase of MBBS program and each heads of the department has submitted compliance of adherence of academic calendar do monitoring & evaluation of effective delivery to curriculum committee for further action.
  • Academic cell of postgraduate program monitor planning, implementation and assessment of academic curriculum.
  • Board of Research Studies has mandate for scientific appraisal of research proposal including clinical trials for carrying out research work and publication after ethical committee approval.
  • There is established quantitative protocol for evaluation of annual performance of employee yearly basis.
  • The College and its hospital has implemented e-governance in almost areas i.e. admission of students to the programs, accounts, establishment section, time office, learning management system, library management system, hostel and mess section, examination result data acquisition system, hospital information management system, AEBAS system launched by NMC, CCTV surveillance of the teaching areas and hospital and other areas of the campus.
