Courses Details

1. Introduction: Department of pharmacology was established in 1990 and since then department is actively involved in teaching pharmacology to II MBBS students. After few years teaching activities were extended to train dental students (II BDS). From year 2019, department is involved in teaching pharmacology to CCMP ( Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology ) students
Undergraduate teaching activities in the department includes lectures, tutorials, practical demonstration, seminars and integrated teaching sessions for II MBBS students.
Department of pharmacology also taking lecture to interns on “ Rational use of drug” as a part of Internship orientation progrmme

Department of pharmacology is established as per the guidelines of MCI. Dept. has--- Research Laboratory: With equipments Museum: Displaying drug samples, new drug delivery systems, charts, photographs Pharmacy/ Chemical Laboratory: With instruments and seating capacity 50-60 students Departmental library/ Seminar room: 101 books are available Staff rooms: For teaching and non-teaching staff available

Dr A W Patil—Prof and HOD attended Workshop on Revised Medical education Technology and CISP workshop at Seth GS Medical College ( MCI approved center ) in 2018 and now he is faculty member of MET unit of ACPM Medical college Dhule

8. Conferences attended. Dr A W Patil attended various state level conferences Of Pharmacologist in Maharashtra. Dr Jahir Mujawar attended 5th international Ayurveda research conference on Pune on 31st January 2016

9. Dissertation: Department is not recognized for PG course, so no dissertation prepared in the dept. However Dr A W Patil has evaluated the dissertations for MD (Pharmacology), M Sc (Pharmacology ) and PHd (Pharmacology ) of the students from Maharashtra and Gujarat state

Museum information: Various charts related to history of pharmacology, Photographs of Scientists, drug samples, devices for new drug delivery system such as Insulin Pen, Spacers, Meter dose inhalers, Nebulisers, different types of syringes are available. Total 55 charts are available. Charts related to Essential drug list approved by Govt. of India are also available
